|---|---|---|
| Material | Premium forged steel engineered for lasting strength and corrosion resistance. | Often stamped or made from standard steel blends that may sacrifice durability or rust resistance. |
| Sharpness | 20% sharper than standard knives, thanks to laser-guided PEtec technology. | Factory-sharpened blades that start strong but dull faster and lack precision honing. |
| Craftsmanship | Hand-finished in Solingen, Germany with 200+ years of expertise and precision in every detail. | Mass-produced or partially outsourced craftsmanship that lacks the same heritage and consistency. |
| Corrosion Resistance | Exceptional rust resistance for a blade that stays beautiful for decades. | Prone to staining or rust if not carefully maintained—especially with frequent kitchen use. |
| Edge Retention | Stays sharper twice as long as ordinary knives, reducing the need to re-sharpen. | Edges wear faster over time, requiring more frequent sharpening and touch-ups. |

Ikon is an icon in the kitchen
"Handle gives way to a smoother cut and refined edge makes it one of the best knives I’ve handled in decades"
9” Over 8”
"I’ve been using my new 9 inch chef knife and it’s so much better than my previous 8 inch. I use it for almost everything. However, I just used my 9 inch Hollow carving knife to cut my California burrito in half and it did it perfect and effortlessly with nothing spilling out. I couldn’t be happier with these classic icon knives they seem timeless."
Great knife.
"I love this knife. The handle is the perfect size and shape. The steel holds an edge. The length is nice."
Beautiful Knives
"What a pleasure having knives that cut effortlessly. Fast shipping and prompt customer service also a plus"
Love it
"Always love your knife but I select wrong color"
elegant and honest
"At a time when cookware is sold as fashion, this knife is an unassuming workhorse. The edge is impressive straight out of the box, and it does its job efficiently and undramatically. It's a bit thicker and heavier than a Japanese knife. That is actually my preference. The length and weight of the blade reduces effort without sacrificing control. Cheap? No. But it is a far better value than most mass-produced cutlery. At full retail, this knife is an exceptional value. It is easy to maintain, and satisfying to use."
Very high quality
"High quality knives aren't cheap and cheap knives aren't high quality. These knives are terrific!"
Awesome Knives
"Wow, what a set. Searched long and hard and finally found a set of knives that stand up to my standards. Sharp (I've managed to cut myself twice now) is an understatement. Well balanced, and beautiful. Made up my own cutting assembly. Would buy again if I need more. Highly recommend for any and all cooks."
