|---|---|---|
| Material | Premium forged steel engineered for lasting strength and corrosion resistance. | Often stamped or made from standard steel blends that may sacrifice durability or rust resistance. |
| Sharpness | 20% sharper than standard knives, thanks to laser-guided PEtec technology. | Factory-sharpened blades that start strong but dull faster and lack precision honing. |
| Craftsmanship | Hand-finished in Solingen, Germany with 200+ years of expertise and precision in every detail. | Mass-produced or partially outsourced craftsmanship that lacks the same heritage and consistency. |
| Corrosion Resistance | Exceptional rust resistance for a blade that stays beautiful for decades. | Prone to staining or rust if not carefully maintained—especially with frequent kitchen use. |
| Edge Retention | Stays sharper twice as long as ordinary knives, reducing the need to re-sharpen. | Edges wear faster over time, requiring more frequent sharpening and touch-ups. |

If I was a knife, I'd want to be a Wusthof Classic
"Your knives are the best. I only use Wusthof for cooking. The better I became at cooking, the more important it was to have good tools. Are there less expensive knives out there? Yes, but you get what you pay for. The customer service for warranty is top notch, with the turn-a-round time being only days. I have put together many sets for friends and family and I only go for the Black Classic. That's just me. Good looking knives never go out of fashion."
Paring Knife
"This was to replace an older knife. We have several locations where the knife dominates! Great product. Great service."
A Slice Above
"This order was a warranty replacement. I sure missed my knife while replacing it."
Great little knife!
"Love this little workhorse. Nice balance and weight."
Long lasting knives.
"My 2 new wusthof knives replace 2 older ones (bought in 1983) and are used daily. Absolutely the best knives and long lasting !"
Worth every penny
"Very good robust knife"
Excellent knife
"Excellent knife. One of the most used tools in my kitchen. I have a decades old Wusthof paring knife that still has some life in it, but I haven’t treated it kindly and have bent the blade a bit over the years. This is not the knife’s fault-I misused it when I couldn’t find a screwdriver."
Très bon achat
"Le meilleur de la technologie allemande. Un vrai plaisir de trancher un saucisson ou un fruit."
Insanely Sharp!
"Wow. Have never had a paring knife this sharp. Cutting is a breeze. Best paring knife I’ve ever owned."
