Other Knives

|---|---|---|
| Material | Premium forged steel engineered for lasting strength and corrosion resistance. | Often stamped or made from standard steel blends that may sacrifice durability or rust resistance. |
| Sharpness | 20% sharper than standard knives, thanks to laser-guided PEtec technology. | Factory-sharpened blades that start strong but dull faster and lack precision honing. |
| Craftsmanship | Hand-finished in Solingen, Germany with 200+ years of expertise and precision in every detail. | Mass-produced or partially outsourced craftsmanship that lacks the same heritage and consistency. |
| Corrosion Resistance | Exceptional rust resistance for a blade that stays beautiful for decades. | Prone to staining or rust if not carefully maintained—especially with frequent kitchen use. |
| Edge Retention | Stays sharper twice as long as ordinary knives, reducing the need to re-sharpen. | Edges wear faster over time, requiring more frequent sharpening and touch-ups. |

Perfect bread knife.
"I LOVE my Wusthof knives. My husband bought me a FULL set at least 25 years ago. I have had a some handles crack in that time (understandable after 25 years) and they have stood by their warranty and replaced them at no charge to me. I cannot recommend these highly enough. Also, I love to cook so they get a LOT of use. Only thing is you CANNOT put them in the dishwasher and I don’t. Love, love, love these knives and this company."
Incredible -- Precise & Clean Cuts
"This knife is a problem. It makes me want to eat more bread, because it gives me an excuse to slice these pristine and flawless slices. Minimal, if any, crumbs left over on my cutting board because the cut is so clean, even with the crustiest of breads."
Best in recent years
"I once had an old breadknife which had a fine saw blade edge and cut beautifully. I replaced it with the ‘wrong’ knife! The double serrated WÜSTHOF comes very close but is more hygienic and does cut very well indeed."
Excellent produit
"Un couteau magnifique, le dentelé est différent des couteaux à pain habituels. Les résultats sont impressionnants."
Excellent
"This cuts through a crusty loaf with ease. I love the colour grey. Great quality."
Easy slicing
"I bought this awesome knife in coral, not only is it beautiful, but we no longer eat squished bread."
9" double serrated bread knife
"This is the best knife purchase I personally have ever made. . What a wonderful design. ."
Outstanding bread knife.
"I love Wusthof knives. They are great knives for the kitchen. I would be lost without them."
The One Knife to Have
"I am very pleased with my new knife, it is very sharp and a little scary, so I respect it and love having it."
Perfect knife
"This knife was everything I hoped it was going to be and more. I absolutely love how it feels and my hand And it cuts all of my crusty breads with no issue!!"
Q&A
- What is the handle made off?, it's wood or poly or plastic?? Thank you
- The handles on our Classic knives are made of plastic.
- All knives have to eventually be sharpened. Can most knife sharpeners sharpen this double seration?
- Lana, We always recommend a professional sharpening service for any of our serrated or scalloped-edge knives. It's important to have the professional equipment and expertise to properly sharpen a serrated edge. You can use a honing steel periodically to realign burrs on the serrations, but will need professional sharpening when your serrated knives need to be sharpened. If you have further questions, please reach out to our Sales Support Team directly at info@wusthof.com
- I am left handed. Is this knife serrated on both sides so that it cuts as well when used in a left hand?
- All of our serrated blades are flat on the left side (the side with our company logo) and serrated on the right side. For further information, please reach out directly to our Customer Support Team.
